HOW TO MONETIZE SEARCH FOR TRUTH?
The core threat throughout history is the escalation of misunderstanding around important issues which divide people: politics, diseases, economy, environment.
When we take sides, we begin to select information sources and lose capacity for proper fact-checking or empathy for our opponents. This creates errors in decision-making, useless tensions and dangerous conflicts.
WHAT TO DO?
1. Make it supereasy to research complex topics on one platform breaking information into chunks which can be efficiently filtered, sorted and presented in a beautiful way.
2. Tag the chunks as FACT / CONTESTED FACT / OPINIONS
3. Incentivize experts to contest, update and simplify content so that the topics are clearer for people facing the same problem.
THE INCENTIVES
– Each topic has a sponsor (users or a corporation?) contributing to the topic budget. The funds are divided among active users according to an algorithm which is non-partisan, transparent and subject to ongoing correction by the community.
– Reputation for users and sponsors helping others to see clearer.
