At Private for-profit institutions, the average cost was $16,011. The institutions that receive funding from the U.S. Government are known as Title IV institutions.

Research suggests that the fees are somewhat higher on average than those mentioned in the previous comment. According to an article written in 2015, if you're an international student, you can expect to pay nearer to $25k at the lowest, and that's just for the cheapest universities with no considerable recognition to their name. If you look at more well-regarded universities such as Yale and Harvard, you may be looking to pay upwards of $50k per year, which isn't as excessive as some make out. There are other institutions that charge upwards of $70k per year; however, they're not worth considering in my view as if you're looking to go to a top university and can afford the cost, you should attend a university with international recognition behind it such as Yale, for instance. There is no point at studying at an expensive university for the sake of it.
