What are the pros of the Common Core public school curriculum in the United States?

The common core standards ensure that all students who reach college have the same level of fundamentals with regard to Math and the English Language. The second component of the standards, of grade-by-grade standards, makes sure that the pathway through lower grades and into secondary education is clearly defined. The inclusion of similar frameworks from across the world in the framing of the common core standfards made sure that best practices and achievements from around the world were incorporated into the common core standards.

Instead of getting stuck with the framing of the curriculum, the CCSS (Common Core State Standards) has taken the best possible approach for a Federal-level standard by prescribing the outcomes and not the exact syllabi. At the same time, the CCSS was framed by the states themselves by getting together which makes it a clear broad-based policy initiative from the ground up. In the age of digital transformation, English and Math skills are highly essential and fundamental in all job streams and the CCSS has defined the roadmap to a skilled college-going nationwide community.
