I think it's very possible; especially if action is not taken. I believe that the actions of humankind have caused climate change, and we need to be the ones to stop and change it. We cannot continue polluting the earth and expect climate change to fix itself. It's up to every human on the planet to take steps to stop climate change. Even then, we may not be able to stop what we've done. But there are positive steps being taken, including the increase of wind, solar, and tidal power, an increase in the number of hybrid cars on the road, decrease in the use of fossil fuels, and an ozone that is slowly repairing. Many large companies are also making encouraging steps to help the planet, including: reducing their carbon footprint, planting trees, and implementing greener facilities. I don't believe that the climate control situation is a lost cause, but it very well may become one if we don't act.

In my opinion, if the earth will meet severe obstacles to feed their people, world scale disasters will happen, humans themselves will speed up the climate change process by putting the earth even in stronger restraints by asking more and more of it and therefore will cause climate change situation to go out of control.

It is essential that many people understand what climate change is and how to reduce the climate change starting by themselves and having the will to do things differently.
