Which characteristics of a leader do you dislike?

Ignorant and proud. A leader can’t be a good one if s/he acts like s/h doesn’t need anybody else, that every achievements are from s/he hard work only. It’s like when you’re the captain of the ship, and you’ve led your ship through a storm. It’s impossible that you’ve achieved that by yourself, without the crew holding the sail or balancing the ship. When you’re ignorant, your member will not be inspired by you and only see the work/task as something they had to do properly. They will never give their best to their work because they know they won’t be appreciated. And proud is one of the biggest sins because it will make you become so ungrateful that you will be so full of yourself and can’t see what the reality is. When it’s set in, it will be too late to fix everything. A leader with these characteristics can be noticed immediately, because it will show in how the leader behave and his/her body language, which will not be inspiring to the surroundings. It is important to have the rice-paddy phylosophy, "the more it gains, the more it bows". Be more humble when you get more achievements, then you will always have your both feet firmly on the ground.

Disrespectful, stubborn, proud and the superiority feeling. Many leaders believe they are superior than their followers, a leader isn’t superior to anyone, we are all humans and no one is superior to anyone. Due to the superiority feeling many leaders end up disrespecting their followers being they think of them as inferior and many times they end up treating the followers in really bad ways as if they weren’t human. Also because of the superiority feeling they are proud and stubborn refusing to listen to anyone else and refusing to do thing any other way besides their way, this stops the organization from evolving because they stop learning ways to improve themselves and the organization.

Unempathetic, egotistic narcissism is a very undesirable character in leaders.

Most charismatic leaders in the past have faced repercussions by expressing one or all of these characteristics. It is undeniable that a leader needs to be skilful and knowledgeable to act as a role model for followers. However, when the same traits are overdone with excessive pride in their skills and knowledge, it can be detrimental for the team and the leader. The same way when the leader denies to look at their own flaws and shortcomings to foster self development to impact team outcomes, it can be a downhill roll for the team and the organisation led by a narcissistic leader.

Top of my list is bullying! Someone who takes advantage of their position in the institution to make other members of staff feel uncomfortable, inadequate and unappreciated. They play on the fact that as they are higher up the food chain, they can make your life difficult / cost you your job if you don't comply. A really nasty trait.
Less offensive, but still quite irritating, is working for someone who is disorganised. This means you are constantly under (probably unnecessary) pressure because their lack of organisation means you are always running late to hit a deadline. And then the time factor becomes your problem! A lack of empathy and the inability to listen. Both of these are important, in my view, if you are to manage people and endeavour to manage them well. You never know, the office junior might just come up with the "next big thing" but, if you are not willing to listen - you will never know. And lastly, hypocrisy. A leader who is unpunctual, keeps people waiting and is sometimes rude and then has the temerity to criticise their staff for the same behaviour.
