How many Syrians live in CZ and when they arrived?

Not all governments keep accurate figures for particular ethnic groups as part of their population, so finding an exact figure is quite a challenge. Certainly there were Syrians iving in the Czech Republic before the 2011 crisis and subsequent civil war but the numbers that have settled since are very modest compared to many other countries that have received Syrian refugees (just eighty were agree to in 2016). In the same year, 1,475 people (of several nationalities, not just Syrians) applied for international protection in the czech republic. Of that number just 148 were given asylum and with another 302 given subsidiary protection. What proportion of these were syrian is not recorded.
