The biggest challenges to civil society leadership in Bulgaria are the corruption and the collusion between media, politicians, and oligarchs which problems have increased in the last year. According to Reporters without Borders Bulgaria is 111 in the in the 2018 World Press Freedom Index which is lower than the position of most European countries. Another long therm problem is the fact that for a period of time our educational system hasn't paid enough attention to these matters. Luckily, there have been continuous efforts both from the teachers and the Ministry of Education in this aspect.
