Examples how civil society leadership has improved in Estonia?

Civil society leadership involves the cooperation of people pursuing a common interest, who discuss public issues, and as well as the associations and institutions that enable such a cooperation. In Estonia, this is widely seen in cooperation and volunteering. Based on a recent population survey, about a third of Estonians are involved in voluntary activities. In fact, a civic initiative dubbed 'Teeme ara' in 2010 brought together more than 30,000 Estonians who took part in various activities. More NGO's are also being created in Estonia, with more than 2000 being registered in a year. Volunteer inclusion has also increased in the Civil society organizations, with more than two-thirds of civil societies having at least a volunteer. The development of the third sector in Estonia is progressing albeit slowly perhaps due to lack of/minimal cooperation between the civil society organizations and government policies that create a harsh environment which deters the progress of the organizations.
