There are many challenges, for example: there is little funding from public sources and little government incentives and grants for organizations, if civil organizations aren’t funded the people won’t have a place to join, learn and gain experience with; the living standard is low which also prevents people from engaging in social causes and society’s activities; people conform with a lot and don’t always fight for their rights and a better quality of life; very few people join civil society organization’s for example to do some volunteer work; people aren’t used to donate to social causes; you can also see a lot of nepotism. These were just some examples that still need to improve a lot in Slovenia.
