1. What is Improveo?
1.1. Improveo is a product of Problemondo, z.s., a non-profit association registered under the Czech Law No. 89/2012 Coll. (hereinafter “Civil Code”) with the legal seat in Jungmannova 31, 110 00 Prague 1 - Nové Město, Czech Republic, ID No.: 05999715 (hereinafter: “the Association“). The Association runs an online platform Improveo.org as one of its main statutory activities.
1.2. The vision of Improveo is a society in which all people have easy and unrestricted access to information empowering them to deal more effectively with public, social, economic and environmental issues.
1.3. The mission of Improveo is to provide an open and inclusive space for discussion, education, civic engagement and cooperation, with the goal of making it easier to apply information for the practical benefit of people and their communities.
2. What is the online platform Improveo.org?
2.1. Improveo.org is an online open problem-solving platform connecting people around global and local problems and their potential solutions. It aims to navigate public issues and news through questions and action.
3. Registration and utilization of the online platform Improveo.org
3.1. For using all functionalities of the online platform, you need to register your user account. A user account is created by entering your username, email address and password, reading these Terms and Conditions and ticking out the “Agree” box located next to it, or by registering via Facebook or Google.
3.2. The registration is free of charge and open to all individuals. If you are an organization, academic institution or a business entity, please request a listing at [email protected]. You may request your deregistration at [email protected].
3.3. You can create and use only one user account on our site. In the event of registering an account with false information, the Association claims the right to delete it.
4. Rules
4.1. Content:
4.1.1. The Association as the operator of the Improveo.org platform in accordance with art. 5 of Act no. 480/2004 Coll, bears no responsibility for the behavior or activities of the Users or image content published in the context of their user activity. Image and text content is in all respects fully the responsibility of the User who uploads the content under his/her profile (i.e. whose registration data is connected with the said content).
4.1.2. To upload any content, you have to own the copyright, or dispose with a specific license permitting to publish the original authored content. While also complying with the conditions upon which this license is being provided. This does not affect the provisions regarding removal of content for failure to comply with these terms and conditions or with the laws in effect.
4.1.3. You are not allowed to post illegal content, including the content that is qualified as a hate speech, that is threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.
4.1.4. Improveo.org is an online platform, publicly available, and it is therefore not possible to prevent the content that you publish under your profile to appear outside the platform. Please take this into consideration and upload onto the site only content/express only those views and positions for which you do not object to this fact.
4.2. Use of the Improveo.org account:
4.2.1. You may not use your account for the presentation and/or offer of services and items (or demand), the realization of which is illegal, and/or services and items in breach of universal ethical and moral standards (e.g. offering illegal drugs, copying of copyrighted works, publishing of harmful content, etc.).
5. Data privacy
5.1. By registering on the platform and creating your personal account you are giving us explicit consent in accordance with art. 4) and 5 of Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on the Protection of Personal Data (hereinafter: “PPD Act”), to the processing of all personal data provided. The only obligatory personal data are email and password, but they are not disclosed to the website users. Any other personal data (name, surname, photo, description, affiliations) are optional and shown to all platform users. By adding optional personal data you consent to processing them and publishing them on the platform. Other visitors may see your name and content you publish within the platform’s activities.
5.2. By creating a user account, you further agree with the processing of your personal data for communication about the content of your interest, news about the Platform and information about events organized by the Association or its partner organizations.. This communication will typically happen electronically, in accordance with Act No. 480/2004 Coll. on Certain Legal Aspects of Information Society Services and on the change of certain laws (Act on Certain Legal Aspects of Information Society Services), as amended. You may opt-out from receiving the organization’s newsletter simply by sending an email with the subject line “opt-out” to [email protected].
5.3. The aim of processing of your personal data is to facilitate discussions among users, creation of a database of users (including individuals, educational institutions, business entities and organizations), organization of educational events, professional courses, trainings and discussions, fundraising events etc.
5.4. The controller of the data collection and its processing is the Association and we commit to protect your personal data in the same way or better than is required by the laws. You have a right to access your personal data and the right to have your personal data rectified, in accordance with the Article 11 (1) of the PPD Act.
5.5. The Association has a right to process your personal data via Administrator (as a data processing party).
5.6. You can control the visibility of the content you publish within the platform’s activities and switch between the option anonymous vs. public for each of your questions or opinions.
5.7. You are giving us consent to process your personal data for the period of having an active user account. You automatically revoke your consent by deleting the user account. You can delete your user account by clicking on a link in "Edit profile" section which you can open by clicking on the avatar circle in top-right corner of the desktop screen. All the personal data provided will be deleted.
5.8. By creating a user account you also confirm that you have familiarized yourself with your other rights concerning the processing and management of personal data included in the PPD Act, in particular those included in the Article 21. This Article stipulates that if you find or presume that we are carrying out processing of your personal data which is in contradiction with the protection of your private and personal life or in contradiction with the law, in particular if the personal data are inaccurate regarding the purpose of their processing, you may:
(a) ask us for an explanation;
(b) require from us to remedy the arisen state of affairs. It can mean in particular blocking, correction, supplementing or liquidation of personal data.
6. Final provisions
6.1. By ticking out the Agree box or signing up via Facebook or Google account, You agree to these Terms and Conditions.
6.2. The Association retains the right to change these Terms and Conditions. Users will be notified about the changes to the Terms and Conditions via e-mail.
USE OF COOKIES
1. Improveo.org platform does not automatically collect any information, with the exception of information contained in cookies.
2. Cookies are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored in your terminal device and are designed for use of the platform. Cookies usually contain the name of their original website, time of their storage in the terminal device and a unique number.
3. Problemondo, z.s. with the legal seat in Jungmannova 31, 110 00 Prague 1 - Nové Město, Czech Republic, ID No.: 05999715, as the operator of Improveo.org platform is storing and obtaining the cookies from the users and uses them as described below.
4. Cookies are used to:
a) adapt the content of Website pages to the User’s preferences and to optimize the use of websites; in particular these files recognize the device of the Website User and allow proper display of the website, which is tailored to meet the User's specific needs;
b) maintain the Website User’s session (after logging on), thanks to which the User does not need to enter the login and password again on each subpage of the Website;
c) create statistics, which indicate how Website Users use websites, which makes it possible to improve the structure and content of these sites;
5. We are using two basic types of cookies on our platform: ·

temporary cookies serve for example after logging on to a service to identify the user when he is logged on. ´Without these cookies, some of our services may not work at all or their functionality may be limited. Temporary cookies are deleted automatically after the browser is turned off,

permanent cookies remain preserved in the browser also after the computer is switched off. In these cookies, user’s settings are commonly included, and they thus serve to increase user comfort when utilising our services, or for statistics or advertising purposes.
6. The following types of cookies are used within the Website:
a) “indispensable" cookies”, which enable the User to use services available within the Website, for example authenticating cookies used for services requiring authentication within the Website;
b) cookies used for safety purposes, for example cookies used for detecting abuses related to authentication within the Website;
c) ”performance” cookies, which gather information about the method of using pages of the Website;
d) “functional" cookies, which “remember” settings selected by the User and customize the User’s interface, for example as regards the selected language or the region from which the User comes, size of the font, appearance of the website etc.;
e) “advertising” cookies, thanks to which Users are provided with advertising content that is better tailored to their interests.
7. Improveo.org uses the service of the Google company called Google Analytics, within which we have so far not implemented advertising features. A user can simply deactivate the advertising features of the Google Analytics service. You can find the currently available possibilities of cancelling the Google Analytics for web also HERE.
8. In many cases the software used for browsing websites allows by default storing of cookies in the User’s terminal device. Website Users may change at any time settings of cookies. These settings may be changed in particular to block automatic operation of cookies in settings of the Internet browser or inform the User about each time they are placed in the device of the Website User. Detailed information about the possibilities and methods of operating cookies is available in the settings of the software (Internet browser).
9. The Website Operator informs you that limitations on the use of cookies may influence certain functionalities available on Website pages. More information about cookies is available at: http://www.allaboutcookies.org or in the “Help" section of the browser's menu.
