The actual design and construction of a wall on the U.S. border would not harm Mexico. The damage has already been done. Trump's description of Mexicans as rapists, and his continued anti-Mexican rhetoric at rallies, has led to an increase in attacks on Mexicans, a decrease in Mexicans travelling to America, and Mexicans actually leaving America to return to their home country. That's no surprise. Jews similarly fled Germany when it became clear what Hitler thought of them. It's not all bad though. There is one indisputable benefit to having a wall separating the two countries. For Mexicans, it would mean that toxic and dangerous Americans are on the other side of it. And the nice ones too. But for now, it's the others they have to worry about.
