What does the EU get in return for accepting Syrian refugees from Turkey?

A sense of having done the right thing? Syrians are trying to save their own lives. The chance of being killed if staying there is very high, so removing themselves from that situation is only logical. They are human beings with human needs, and need somewhere to exist, so the EU should give them that. Besides that, immigrants have always added greatly to the cultures they live in. The UK is a mixture of many different ethnicities, some stretching back generations, others newly arrived. People bring with them skills, traditions and ideas, different educations, different ways of thinking about things, and the country only gains from these new foods, artworks, clothing, and skills.
