Palestinians in Germany have secured citizenship and assimilated into German societies in a number of major cities of the country. They were listed among 'citizens of unknown nationalty,' and are estimated to be about 80,000 people with a majority living in Berlin. While Palestinians came to Germany in the 50s and 60s to study, most came from Lebanese refugee camps in the 1980s. Palestinians were also taken into the U.K. in the period after 1948.
