Individuals can do many things to reduce their carbon footprint, including eating and shopping locally, walking or biking instead of driving (when possible), driving carbon-friendly cars, eating fewer animal byproducts, flying less, recycling, reusing, installing solar panels, voting for bills that support the environment, patronizing environmentally-conscious businesses, and consuming fewer products that produce emissions. Any effort on and individual level to decrease our carbon footprint is helpful in the fight against climate change.
