After looking at some research, a lot of evidence shows that people believe a lot of autonomous jobs will be taken over by robots and artificial intellegence, so where does that leave the rest of the human race?

Studies show it will take a long time for robots to reach the same level of compassion and care of a human being. Therefore, caretakers will be in demand as more people live longer, as well as every aspect of the health care sector being poised for growth. And while telemedicine, robotic surgical equipment, and other forms of automation are changing how some health care is delivered, demand for caregivers is going to increase as we commit to providing health care for more of the population—one that is growing and living longer. Specializations include: medical technicians, physical therapists, and workplace ergonomics experts.

On the technology side, with such a growth in systems and data, media literacy of new technologies and understanding various media platforms and how to best communicate effectively in them—are valuable skills that robots are not likely to match any time soon. Specializations include those such as: marketing specialists, customer service representatives, and sales representatives.

With the world also becoming more conscious of their carbon footprint, Green technology will play a big intervention in the near future, and is even beginning now. Companies will be interested in becoming more green, and learning how to improve their relationship with nature. Specializations such as green technology consultants, and positions in renewable energy will be in demand.

I hadn't considered your first point about compassion and care industries, Angela. I think that's really insightful. I could almost imagine a greater emotional need for caregivers in a future in which natural, daily interaction with other humans may begin to decline, thanks to automation, AI and robotics.
