What is the easiest thing university administrators could to do improve education?

Be more aware of what is going on in the world and it's wider impact.

Perhaps they should be made read publications such as the Economist the New Scientist and National Geographic more often....there is a funyy dycotomy in life that canbe summed up bu the fact the hairdressers rarely have good haircuts. I wonder if at a certain point in their careers university administrators stop reading blogs, watching you tube documentories, reading magazines and flicking through a book occassioally

Here are two (somewhat) easy things university administrators could do to improve education. Firstly, every point of connection with students and faculty should have a readily available mechanism for feedback. A suggestion box (whether physical or via a website) is a powerful way for an administrative system to be aware of its strengths and weaknesses. Secondly, the barriers between administration and academia could be broken down. Administrative staff should be encouraged to observe and understand the teaching process and academic staff should be made aware of the administrative challenges of running an education institution. I think this would at least be a good start.

A teacher is one who aspires the students and a university management should look for the best teachers in order to raise their education standard.

So the easiest and the quickest way to improve the education standard is to hire the professionals, who are able to engage their students with them while teaching. A teacher who just utters the words of his profound knowledge, is of no use for the students.

To deal with this situation, a university must hire the education experts to train the teachers. The university teachers must be good at conveying the knowledge and make the things comprehensive for the students.

Be aware of the changes that happen every day of our life and their impact on our lives. University administrators shall be competent and ready to develop in the same pace with the new technologies as their students. Otherwise the traditional forms of education will be seen as outdated.
