Have Palestinian refugees been forgotten amid the Syrian refugee crisis?

Not only have the Palestinian refugees been forgotten but the issue itself has become almost forgotten. With the rise of the Islamic State, the issue of Palestine/Israel has become something of a non-issue as the world now focuses more on refugees from Syria and the corresponding fears of IS infiltration.

While Israel was the aggressor in the eyes of the world until the IS came into the picture, Islamic Fundamentalism is now seen as the aggressor. It is a reversal of role that might have even been scripted as some reports reveal that the U.S.(and probably Israel) funded the I.S.

With newer problems erupting in the Middle East, Palestinian refugees are quite naturally not anymore on the radar of the media. However, Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as an Israeli city before its status is resolved has brought the issue into the limelight again but not so in terms of the refugees themselves.
