A quick online search states that those who acquire post graduate degrees are happier. In my experience, people with university degrees may be happier in terms of accomplishment and slightly more selective job options, but university degrees are not an indicator of success or wealth. Many people with university degrees (especially in the United States) have considerable student loan debts and the job economy doesn't have opportunities that would allow these people to pay off the debt. Debt, an uncertain job market, lower salary options, and a rising housing market all lead to uncertainty for university graduates, this does not lead to surefire happiness. A university degree certainly creates oportunities for people, but it does not create certainty or peace of mind, both of which allow people to experience longterm happiness.
