Why should I want to teach at university?

Teaching is thought to be a respectable and awarding job. Teaching in university is very much different from that of teaching in schools. At university it becomes a highly enjoyable task for the teacher when he/she gets a chance to talk on their favorite subject for an hour or more. Universities now a days provide training to teachers in order to enhance their pedagogical skills. This training makes their tasks more enjoyable for them when they see the positive response from the students.
The focus or university teachers is mainly on research. In this way they keep in touch with new research trends and latest results. Spending time in young people makes the teacher think like young even when they get old. They see the youth getting enthusiastic about their subjects, this makes the teacher feel better.
