Unempathetic, egotistic narcissism is a very undesirable character in leaders.

Most charismatic leaders in the past have faced repercussions by expressing one or all of these characteristics. It is undeniable that a leader needs to be skilful and knowledgeable to act as a role model for followers. However, when the same traits are overdone with excessive pride in their skills and knowledge, it can be detrimental for the team and the leader. The same way when the leader denies to look at their own flaws and shortcomings to foster self development to impact team outcomes, it can be a downhill roll for the team and the organisation led by a narcissistic leader.
