I think we can lead without money but not without charisma.

According to the Cambridge Dictionary, charisma is “ a special power that some people have naturally that makes them able to influence other people and attract their attention and admiration”.

Being a leader is all about personality, attracting others, get them to admire and consequently influence them, which is the very definition of charisma so I don’t believe it is possible for a non-charismatic person to be a leader because charisma is the key to being a leader. Without charisma, the leader will have no followers, with no followers there is nothing to lead and so there is no leader.

I think it is interesting to note that money can help being a leader even if it isn’t essential because money can influence others and can attract people’s attention but the challenge is in keeping their attention and keeping them as followers and that is why charisma is necessary.

In conclusion, in my opinion, charisma is the key and money can help but it isn’t essential.
