Why should we choose passionate leaders over higher income?

It's sad but true - money does not necessarily buy you happiness! However, getting enjoyment out of your work environment and being able to work for someone who is passionate about what they do can be truly inspirational.

In these days of arrant competition in the work-place, how many of those wonderfully highly paid individuals ever really get to enjoy their astronomical salaries? Rarely, I would think, because, they are working all the time. Once they have reached the upper echelons of their career (when it comes to remuneration), it is a constant battle to remain at the top and there is intense pressure on them to continue performing so as to continue earning.

Working for someone who truly believes in what they do, who is knowledgeable about every aspect of their business and who takes a personal interest in their staff, encouraging and mentoring them, is the kind or role model in the work place that is rarer than hen's teeth. If you find yourself working for one of these, learn everything you can from them and make the very best of a unique opportunity because, if you learn from someone who is passionate and inspirational about what they do, you too can become that person for the next generation - and what a tremendous gift that is. What you learn from them will long outlast the money in your pay packet at the end of the month.
